Feng Shui: Feng Shui/ Advice/ Videos/ News Letters
Feng Shui: Feng Shui/Advice/Videos/News Letters Feng Shui brings together the external and internal environment by creating balanced, peaceful dwellings in which occupants can develop health and happiness. Practiced in Asia since the earliest of times , masters of the art of placement were originally employed in order to locate the most auspicious site for the tomb of a departed loved one. After the general area was selected by the family, the Feng Shui master would arrive with a luopan, or a diviner's compass, and locate a site perfectly situated between mountain ranges, near the bend of a river, or in a valley where the ancestral spirits would be in harmony with heaven and earth. Over time, this practice of classical Feng Shui grew to include detailed observation of the living world and the way in which the earth's energy effected all of daily life. Good Feng Shui meant prosperity and long life, a conscious connection of the outside environment and the world within.

By Pamela Tollefson Feng Shui, the ancient art of creating balance and harmony with the forces of nature and our personal space, can be beneficial to whoever uses its principles. It gives time-tested guidelines to utilize the power of place — from the shape of a building to the location of your bed. And just as we affect our environment, our environment affects us. By putting ourselves in the best possible space, we derive the greatest benefits of peace and prosperity. The term feng shui is now becoming more familiar to the Midwest. The ancient Chinese principles are being applied to bedrooms, offices, and every space we frequent.

What is Feng Shui?
Feng shui (pronounced "phong shway") is a Chinese philosophy about the relationship between humans and their environment. It is about how everything is connected and affects your well-being. Based on the laws of nature, its theories offer us a way of understanding why certain things occur and how to create a comfortable environment that lets us live and work efficiently and progressively. Developed over 5,000 years ago as a system of how to survive and excel in harmony with nature, feng shui theories came from logical assumptions about natural causes and effects that endured through time. Passed down from generation to generation, only a select few understand the phenomenon of feng shui in its entirety. The complexity and correct application of feng shui takes many years to learn from a master.

But it may surprise you to find out you could lose insurance coverage, or even your job, because of your genetic makeup. A study published in Friday's issue of the journal Science found that people with identified genetic disorders report a relatively high rate of discrimination in getting insurance or employment. Based on research by Georgetown University and the Alliance of Genetic Support Groups, the study said 43% of individuals with genetic disorders reported test-related "problems with health insurance, life insurance and/or employment. One woman cited in the study was fired from her job the day after she told her boss she was genetically more likely to get Marfan's syndrome, a skeletal disorder.

To Help You Attain Good Life, Wealth and Happiness Patty N. Par Feng Shui Practitioner Feng Shui (pronounced Fung Shway) is the practice of arranging a house and work space for optimal health and fortune. Part science and part art, it has been used for 3,000 to 5,000 years in China. Literally, feng shui means wind and water and is an expression of oneness, of harmony with the environment created by balancing invisible and visible energies. A feng shui practitioner analyzes space for placement of objects and furniture and often suggests the use of appropriate colors and mirrors, crystals, plants, wind chimes, aquariums and other things to block or ease the flow of energy.
