Welcome to Jim Rideout's home page. I'm a professional archaeologist, living and working in Scotland, and a director of Alba Archaeology Ltd.

The main function of this site is to serve as a place to publish interim archaeological reports, done by both Alba Archaeology and myself, on the Web. Any comments on the content of either this site or the interim reports can be sent to me at jr004@post.almac.co.uk

The Pictish character at the top of the page is my personal logo. It is based on parts of three carvings on on the backs of Pictish cross-slabs at Meigle and Inchbrayock (both in Angus, Scotland).
