RAMSIG exists for those Mensans who enjoy escaping the grime and noise
of towns and cities by cavorting about in what is generally known
as "the countryside". Activities depend on the interests and circumstances
of individual members, but range from lowland walks, through hill and fell
walking, to rock scrambling, climbing, and getting sh*tfaced.... Day walks tend to be the norm, supplemented by occasional stopovers in hostels/tents/bunkhouses. Most activites are carried out in the popular walking and climbing areas of the UK, but trips abroad are also undertaken when there is sufficient interest. A good appreciation of the range of things that SIG members get up to can be gained from both the Diary and Reviews sections of this website.
