ALMAC BBS LTD - Our Rules for Access
These rules are to protect all users of Almac BBS Ltd. (ALMAC) Almac BBS Ltd is registered under the Data Protection Act 1984
Users are required to use their FULL names when connecting to ALMAC. Fictitious names and aliases are not allowed.
Users are not permitted to share their User ID with any other caller. An exception may be made on a `case by case' basis (eg families and companies) by specifically requesting such exception in a Private message to: SYSOP. In any case you may not use, or allow your User ID to be used, to achieve two or more simultaneous connections.
Users may not divulge their password to any third party.
Copyrighted material shall not be uploaded to ALMAC without the permission of the copyright holder. We reserve the right to hold the uploader liable for any breach of copyright or other tort.
Users may not upload any material that might be considered obscene under the laws of the United Kingdom.
While ALMAC takes care to ensure that files are checked for viruses and correct CRC's, the user agrees that any files downloaded are used at the users' own risk and the user agrees to hold ALMAC blameless from any and all damage or consequential loss, however caused.
Users may not defame any group or individual. Users may be held responsible under United Kingdom law for any breach of this rule. Obscene language is not allowed and neither is swearing. (Messages on this system are echoed around the world and minors may have access to the public messages. Callers are asked to keep this in mind when entering public messages for transmission around the globe)
Almac BBS Ltd shall not be held responsible for any claims or losses occasioned by the use of ALMAC. BY USING ALMAC, ALL USERS AGREE TO HOLD ALMAC BBS LTD AND ITS' SERVANTS, OFFICERS AND AGENTS BLAMELESS FOR ANY LOSS, CONSEQUENTIAL OR ACTUAL, ARISING FROM SUCH USE.
