Almac

James Thin Ltd., Booksellers

James Thin are Scotland's oldest firm of Booksellers with an International reputation. Through their services Almac are able to offer our members the facility to order books by post.

To facilitate ordering we have created a conference called:

Almac.james.thin.ltd.booksellers (which is conference 1950)

So if you join that conference and enter a message to JAMES THIN LTD then give them details of the book(s) you are interested in buying (you should include as much info as possible in the message, like author, title, ISBN number) then James Thin will come back to you with price, availability and postage. Should you then wish to purchase the book(s) then simply reply to the message and give them your credit card details: name of card, card number, card expiry date and address and they will post the book to you.

Should you wish to send them a cheque or postal orders then simply make cheques payable to James Thin Ltd and send to:

Mail Order Dept
James Thin Ltd.
53-59 South bridge
Edinburgh
EH1 1YS

You can also email them at james.thin.ltd@almac.co.uk

Also please note that if you want the books shipped outwith the UK you should state this and the address on your message so they can quote you the proper postal price. By default it will be assumed you are in the UK and want it posted by normal mail. So if you do want it sent outside the UK or by special means then please state this in your enquiry so that the company can quote you the correct price.

We hope you will find this service useful as I know I already have. I was reading in the pern newsgroup of a new book in the series and I simply sent Thins a message and they came back with price and availablity and I've now ordered the book. I'm going to find this service very useful!

Note: Should you give out credit card information in a message then please make the message private (Security R meaning recipient only)
