Events in Falkirk in 2000
The Falkirk area is fast gaining a reputation for staging events that attract visitors from all over Central Scotland.
This year is special to Falkirk, not only because of the Millennium, but particularly because this year, the town celebrates 400 years as a Burgh. Special events are being planned to commemorate this important anniversary, culminating in a two day fair in the town centre in May.
Later in May, the town will come alive to the sounds of all kinds of music during the BBC's Music Live weekend. Local musicians and groups will perform live in the town centre and Radio One will be here with a major live music roadshow.
From now right up until the Christmas Festival begins at the end of November, please keep and eye on the events pages on this website for details of all the major activities that are planned.
