The Falkirk Area Through The Eyes Of The Next Generation The Falkirk area today, as throughout history, has been renowned for its historic towns and buildings, attractive environment, industrial heritage and its fiercely proud population. The Falkirk Area Tourist Association, and the Town Centre Management Company are planning to print a glossy colour calendar to celebrate the Falkirk area at the time of the new Millennium with photographs taken by the youngsters of the area. |

children from all the towns and villages in the area were
challenged to submit their photographic entries, the
twelve best of which have been chosen to feature
throughout the millennium year calander. The organisers required 12 photographs to represent the uniqueness of the Falkirk area and there were four winning categories :
The pictures were judged by a panel of local profesional photographers in early June, with the 12 best photos selected being published in the Calendar which should be available by the end of the summer. It will sell for £3.99, and every copy sold through schools or PTA's will raise £1.50 for the school.
