| Bo'ness, at the eastern
end of the Falkirk area is another town of great historic
significance, and still retains many attractive older
listed buildings. Bo'ness is also spearheading a new
industry in the area - tourism, with thousands of
visitors flocking to the award winning Bo'ness and Kinneil Railway, a fully operational railway
adjacent to the town centre, that takes its guests back
to the era of steam. The town centre, radiating from
Market Square, has a fine selection of shops, including
locally run florists, bakers, sporting goods, household
goods, jewellers and clothing as well as a great
selection of cafes and pubs. The town has a wonderful library, a Tourist Information Centre (during the season) and has plenty free car paring for shoppers and visitors. |
